SUPER-VIM® Ligament Anchor (Titanium)

SUPER-VIM® suture anchors feature a cancellous thread with an ultra-small core diameter, maximizing pull-out strength in cancellous or osteoporotic bone. The fully threaded anchor body enhances pull-out resistance, and its independent suture channels reduce suture binding.

They are supplied with two or three BIOFIBER® sutures in contrasting colors, which optimize soft tissue fixation and facilitate suture identification. They are available in 5.0 mm and 6.5 mm diameters, loaded with BIOFIBER® USP 2 suture; the uncoated BioFiber® suture and tapes provide enhanced handling and knot security.

They are primarily used in rotator cuff repair and remplissage. The 5.0 mm and 6.5 mm anchors with needles are ideal for mini-open rotator cuff repair, and the 5.0 mm anchors with needles provide a multi-purpose option that may also be used in other procedures, such as medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction and repair of multiligament injuries.

In hard bone, it is recommended to create a pilot hole with a 3.0 mm Kirschner wire or a 3.2 mm drill bit.
