BIO-VIM® Ligament Anchor (Bioabsorbable)

BIO-VIM® is a bioabsorbable, osteoconductive suture anchor designed for tendon, ligament and soft tissue attachment to bone via a suture in arthroscopic or open surgical procedures.

Available in 4.5 mm and 5.5 mm diameters, it is made of a material that undergoes chemical degradation and is typically absorbed through natural body processes. BIO-VIM® anchors are composed of poly(L-lactide-co-D,L-lactide) with β-tricalcium phosphate, a blend of 70% RESOMER® LR 706 S and 30% β-TCP.

These fully threaded anchors feature dual threads to optimize cortical and cancellous fixation, a covered saddle tip that protects the sutures and a cannulation that guides growth factors. They are available in 4.5 mm and 5.5 mm with suture and tape combinations; the tape enhances footprint contact.
